MRes student graduates with distinction!

We are excited to announce that the Laser Lab’s Masters student, Hannah Eccleston, has graduated with a distinction in her Masters by research (MRes) degree! Hannah’s MRes thesis was titled ‘Fabrication of anti-biofouling surfaces for application of marine renewable energy devices’.

During the course of her degree, she developed many novel steel surfaces using a CO2 laser, and explored their impact on applied coatings and the formation of biofilms. This project was hugely interdisciplinary, and Hannah put in an incredible amount of effort to complete it.

She now progresses on to starting a PhD at the University of Manchester. We’re exceptionally proud of her work with us here, and look forward to seeing what she does in the future.

Well done Hannah!
