This week our new postgraduate student, Hannah Eccleston has joined the team at the Laser Lab! Hannah graduated in 2012 from the University of Lincoln and, since leaving, has gained laboratory experience working across a range of scientific industries. She is studying for a Masters by Research (MRes) in Applied Science; and the project will be looking at anti-biofouling mechanisms within marine environments with a focus on surface textures and coatings.
The project is a part of the ERDF funded Eco Innovation scheme and is in collaboration with Camcoat Performance Coatings. The supervisory team is headed up by lecturer Alice Gillett of the Laser Lab and the department of Mechanical Engineering.
